root of all evil and is the source

of the current global economic

crisis, Pope Benedict XVI recently

declared.

 

It is greed that destroys the world,

the Pontiff said in his April 22, 2009,

weekly address.

 

People can be greedy for many

things - money, status, power,

material possessions . . . and food.

 

So is the obesity epidemic really

just a sign of our collective greed?
