Guest guest
I've been wanting to campaign against Horizon Organic Dairy Farm's continued presence at the S.F. Green Festival, including their irresponsible targeting of children. But I'm a bit overwhelmed as I don't have much free time and am currently fighting cruelty at the live animal markets and a few other campaigns. Is anyone interested in taking this on? I'm thinking it would just be a matter of getting people to contact the Green Festival organizers, and staging a protest/leafleting at the festival itself in November to bring awareness to the environmental, animal welfare, and health issues with dairy. Thanks, Andrew
Guest guest
I second the motion. While SFVS has been and will continue to be at The Green Festival and while the Festival itself is only offering veg food to buy, I am uncomfortable that meat is there as vendor offerings. , " Andrew " <andy94103 wrote: > > I've been wanting to campaign against Horizon Organic Dairy Farm's continued presence at the S.F. Guest guest
Great idea. Count me in, but I would suggest a general education campaign rather than one targeting a single supplier. Another thought is to go positive with the benefits of soy or other forms of milk. -terry in santa clara --- On Fri, 5/22/09, Andrew <andy94103 wrote: Andrew <andy94103 Volunteer to organize protest of dairy at S.F. Guest guest
This is a reply from Alan, in charge of Exhibitors at Green Festival. He drives a car that runs on veg oil, just like me, and I've been in touch with him since the beginning. (I think he's also a veg, sorry I forgot such an important info) he said: FYI, only once has the Green Festival had Horizon Dairy as a Partner, 4 years ago. They had their first scandal right afterwards and we switched to Organic Valley which has been our Kids Zone Partner for the 14 GF events since. --- So, Andrew, if you want me to forward your private email to Green Festival, I can do that for you > > > > I've been wanting to campaign against Horizon Organic Dairy Farm's continued presence at the S.F.
