Guest guest
Dear San Francisco Vegetarian Society Fabulous Volunteers, (I know I put out a call for volunteers to work at the San Francisco Vegetarian Society booth at the Gay Pride Parade already.) This time I'm asking if there are volunteers who would like to participate in the parade itself on Sunday, June 28, starting at 8:00 a.m. You would be marching with a conglomerate of vegetarians calling themselves " S.F. Pride Parade 2009 -- Vegetarian Outreach Group. Here are the details: (1) Meet at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 28. Exact meeting place to be sent to you after you've volunteered -- the organizers don't know quite yet! Up to You: (2) Wear a T-shirt provided by the group (they have reserved 5 for the S.F. Vegetarian Society). (3) If there are more than 5 SFVS volunters, please wear a solid colored T-shirt with a color matching the Pride Parade rainbow colors. (4) As the group marches, you can hand out literature and vouchers, if you like. (5) Instead of the T-shirt outfit, you could dress as a nurse and hand out prescriptions to " Go Veg. " (6) Instead of the T-shift outfit, you could dress as your favorite vegetable or fruit. Doesn't this sound like great fun and a great way to reach out to our community? If you would like to march in the parade, please contact the organizer of this group, Drew, at drewrod85 with a cc to me, Nancy, at njloewen. Drew is required to give an exact number of volunteers to the parade organizers, so please do contact him. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
