Guest guest
At least one person was confused by the date for this. Special guest speaker Jenna Calabrese will be speaking after our vegan potluck THIS Saturday, July 18th in Oakland. The potluck and talk are free and the space is transit accessible. Many of you know Jenna from her work as Vegan Outreach's Northeast Outreach Coordinator. Less well known is her involvement in grassroots activism, in both non-human and human animal advocacy. I, like many others, very much respect the dedication and thoughtfulness she brings to activism and I'm looking forward to hearing her speak about how her work in various areas of advocacy interrelate. As I had mentioned before, Jenna is a member of the LOVE collective, part of the growing worldwide movement dedicated to living the vegan ideal of non-exploitation. She blogs regularly at http://loveallbeings.org/vegan-blog/ and so you may check out some of her writing before Saturday's talk. We strongly believe veganism should be accessible to all. African Americans, Latinas/Latinos, Native Americans, Asians, Asian Americans -- all those who make up our vibrant community are invited and welcome to all events. If you have any accessibility requests, please send Miranda or me an email. You may find more information and to RSVP for Saturday's potluck and talk at http://www.meetup.com/vegans/calendar/10792466/ Warmly, Victor
