Guest guest
You may like to know that Amanda Baker, Vegan Society PR/media officer, is speaking at the BGG at 10 am on Fri. 31 July on Food Security and Social Justice. At noon she will be debating the same topic with Simon Fairlie (editor of The Land magazine and author of the 'Can Britain Feed Itself?' article in The Land (http://transitionculture.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/CanBritain.pdf), co-author of Can Totnes Feed Itself? (http://transitionculture.org/wp-content/uploads/cantotnesfeeditself1.pdf) and a piece on Meat in the Ecologist in October 2009) and Jenny Jones (Green Party Member of the London Assembly). At some point Amanda will also be running a workshop on becoming vegan as part of the Veggies Catering Campaign workshop programme. Best wishes, Patricia Patricia Tricker, Vegan Society Trustee & National Contacts' Coordinator Cottage 3, Arrathorne, Bedale, DL8 1NA e-mail: vegan THE VEGAN SOCIETY IS 64 YEARS OLD - see www.vegansociety.com. ---------- Checked by AVG - www.avg.com Version: 8.5.392 / Virus Database: 270.13.22/2253 - Release 07/21/09 18:02:
