A couple more volunteers needed please!

Dear San Francisco Vegetarian Society Volunteers:

 

Are there a couple of volunteers out there who could help with the

following:

 

SFVS will have a literature table at the Pistahan Filippino Festival this

Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9. The event is at the Yerba Buena

Gardens, 701 Mission St., between 3rd and 4th Streets. We already have

enough volunteers to be at our literature table for both days. What is

needed still iare two volunteers to help Tom Flynn, the wonderful guy who

picks up and delivers our materials to the site. We need one volunteer to:

 

(1) Come to Yerba Buena Gardens at 5:00 p.m. this Saturday, 8/8, locate our

table, and help box up our materials and load them into Tom Flynn's car.

This will probably take 30 - 45 minutes.

 

and a second volunteer to:

 

(2) Come to Yerba Buena Gardens at perhaps 8:30 a.m. this Sunday, August 9

(but the setup time on Sunday will be clarified later -- sometime before the

starting time of 11 a.m.!) to help Tom unload our materials from his car

and set up our table for the second day of the event. Again, this will

probably take 30 - 45 minutes.

 

Please note that the volunteers who are working at the table on Saturday

afternoon and Sunday morning are not able to help with the setting up and

taking down as usual due to their time constraints. Therefore we need a

couple of extra volunteers to help Tom with this. Whoever volunteers might

enjoy coming to the festival early on Saturday before helping Tom, or

staying on Sunday after helping Tom to enjoy the event for a while -- just a

suggestion!
