Details of the 2nd West African Veg Congress in Ghana at the end of October are on http://www.ivu.org/africa/ghana-2009.html. Note that all catering will be vegan. The first West African Congress was held in Nigeria in December 2007 and an appeal raised about £1300. The forthcoming event should be much bigger and if you would like to offer support you can make a donation by debit or credit card or by PayPal on http://www.ivu.org/africa/donations.html. The IVU would like to add a list of sponsors to the site; not the amount, just the names of groups offering support. Even a small amount would help. If the name on the card does not make it clear which group it is from please e-mail John Davis (manager) to clarify. Personal donations would of course be equally welcome. Thanks in advance for your support if your group can afford it. You could be sure that even a small amount would make a big difference in a part of the world where vegetarianism and veganism are not as widely accepted as in others.
