Stop Ringling from Beating Animals - Attend a Protest in San Jose

Ringling's opening night in San Jose is tomorrow, Wednesday, August 19. At

Sunday's last performance in Oakland, there were more than 60 activists in

attendance! Circus attendees couldn't walk by without seeing our signs or videos

showing how Ringling trainers beat elephants with sharp metal-tipped bullhooks.

Please don't let the momentum die. Attend as many circus demonstrations in San

Jose as you can. Details follow. If you haven't already written to the Mercury

News' editor, please write and discourage folks from attending the circus. You

can refer to www.Ringlingbeatsanimals.com for information on PETA's recent

investigation of the circus. E-mail your thoughts to letters.

Demonstration schedule:

When: Wednesday, August 19, 6 p.m.

Thursday, August 20, 6 p.m.

Friday, August 21, 6 p.m.

Saturday, August 22, 12:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Sunday, August 23, 12:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Where: HP Pavilion, 525 W. Santa Clara St., San Jose

There will be signs and leaflets at the protests. All you have to do is show up!
