Guest guest
Dear Provider, In the next few weeks, the District of Columbia will launch a massive effort to vaccinate against the novel H1N1 influenza virus. This virus is highly transmissible, and while it does not appear to be any more virulent than seasonal flu for most of us, it can severely affect those who are at increased risk, i.e., pregnant women, children and adults with co-morbidities. With your assistance, a greater number of at-risk individuals can receive this potentially life-saving vaccine. Our first priority is to immunize healthcare workers and at-risk populations. After reaching these populations, it is our goal to immunize 100% of our District residents If you have not already done so and are interested in becoming a H1N1 Vaccine Administration Site, please visit the DOH website where you will find provider pre-registration instructions and forms. Click here http://newsroom.dc.gov/show.aspx/agency/doh/section/2/release/17978. If you have questions regarding this program, you may submit and email to H1N1.Vaxsite Promote - Prevent - Protect Regards John. T.
