District 1 Supervisor Eric Mar presented a Commendation to SFVS for its 10th annual World Veg Fest during SF Board of Supervisors meeting on Sept. 22, 2009. District 10 Supervisor Sophie Maxwell, who mentioned that she is vegetarian, seconded the Commendation. SFVS President Dixie Mahy accepted the Commendation and invited everyone to attend 10th annual World Veg Fest on Oct. 3 and 4, 2009 at SF County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park. Millennium Restaurant's Ann Wheat brought vegan treats.
