Guest guest
You're invited! On behalf of VeggieJews, there will be a real-life dinner on Sunday, November 15, at 6:00 p.m. at Shangri-La Restaurant, 2026 Irving Street, between 21st and 22nd Avenue, in San Francisco. The food is kosher, Asian, vegetarian (and largely vegan; the only non-vegan items are the fortune cookies and a few entrees). All ages are included in this invitation. Two big round tables are reserved (they each hold about 8 people.) Please do RSVP by November 14 at the latest, so if more or less table space is needed, the restaurant can be notified in advance. Drop-ins who did not RSVP will be accommodated if space permits. Contact Bonnie Knight (415) 290-1575 (cell) or Bonbonsf with any questions or to respond and hold a place at the table. About VeggieJews:VeggieJews is an international organization dedicated to providing a support group for Jewish vegetarians and vegans and projecting vegetarian, vegan and animal rights consciousness into the Jewish community. We also offer several ways to put "tsedakah" (good deeds, charity) into action with a speakers' bureau, veggie cooking demonstration panel and the Tsedakah Brigade, our animal rights activist wing. Thanks to volunteers, the group can offer social events in local communities and college campuses as well as online news, opinions, recipes and activist alerts. As a , VeggieJews offers members the ability to easily communicate online with each other. We are not a singles or religious group, but single and observant people are always welcome to participate as are Jews of all ages and our non-Jewish friends. Membership is free.
