11/22: Vegan Holidays! Potluck and discussion

Please join the Vegans for Action meetup for a vegan potluck dinner and

discussion about being vegan during the holidays. We'll share a meal together on

Sunday, November 22nd at 6 pm (holiday themed foods encouraged!). At 7 pm, we'll

have a group discussion, where we'll talk about topics like: How do I talk to my

family about being vegan during the holidays? What might I cook for my vegan

loved ones? What do I do about company holiday parties? What are the ethical

considerations around serving mock meats?

 

We will be meeting in downtown Oakland. There is no cost to attend and we are

transit-accessible. Come join the

community in an evening of great conversation and great food! You are

welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.

Family and friends, vegan and non-vegan, are invited and welcome. Out

of respect for our animal friends, all food at the potluck is to be vegan.

 

We strongly believe veganism should be accessible to all. African Americans,

Latinas/Latinos, Native Americans, Asians, Asian Americans -- all those who make

up our vibrant community are invited and welcome
