Guest guest
Sorry. I know it should be open to everyone—but it’s not. I’m getting a ton of questions privately so I’ll answer them all here: 1. Yes, some tickets are still available! The party is Friday 2/12 and you can purchase tickets here: http://www.veganhealth.org/vday 2. Yes, there is a match. Two awesome local donors will match up to $6,000 raised at the party. So if you buy $10 worth of raffle tickets for a Millennium gift certificate, Vegan Outreach will get $20! Yes, that is awesome. 3. Yes, there is a dress code: Fabulous. I am still torn between my tuxedo and a dress. Hitting Goodwill this weekend. There will be people getting down in evening gowns and suits, in jeans and animal rights t-shirts, and in strange pink fluffy body stockings. Wear what *you* think is great, and what you can dance in! 4. Yes, it’s true, Brian Grupe MC’d the speed dating at World Veg Day and he’s doing it again at the Vegan Valentine’s Bash! And yes, it’s true, Brian himself is single and up for auction, along with the most excellent Shani Campbell! J You can win a date with one of them, or make them leaflet. I plan to bid on Brian and if I win, I will make him leaflet for 2 hours and then I’ll take the credit for it. If you think that’s wrong, please send your feedback to: iloveflacosveganmexicanfood 5. And the most popular questions of all…who is welcome at the Vegan Valentine’s Dance?? a. SINGLES: Oh, yes. Speed dating, other singles, romantic setting, booty-shaking. b. COUPLES: Oh, yes. Dancing, romantic setting, booty-shaking. c. Anyone who is gay, straight, trans, bi, queer, or lesbian should is allowed to attend. d. JERKS: Not allowed. Sorry, but you will be turned away at the door. e. Whiners, scumbags, people who make nasty and stupid comments about animal rights, anyone from Alaska named “Palin:” Not allowed. We will have bouncers. f. Person from Alaska named “Palin:” Actually we might let you in. What better way to expand your horizons? g. People who dance and people who hate dancing are allowed to attend. h. People who are vegan, veg, veg-friendly, veg-curious, veg-supportive: Allowed in FOR SURE. i. People who really like free wine and beer: Yep. j. People who really like delicious and free vegan food: See you there. OK then! One more thing—last but definitely not least—if you buy your v-day ticket before this Saturday night (2/6), you get 2 free rafflet tickets! Not sure why that’s exciting? Dude. CHECK OUT THE RAFFLE PRIZES. Now. Right here: http://www.veganhealth.org/vday See you on the 12th! Guest guest
Actually, Brian was a participant in the speed dating at World Veg Day, he was not the MC (I was). Just wanted to clarify for you. I'm sure he'll do a great job MC'ing at this event though. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town. Cheers, Kristen Miles 4.
