Guest guest
I love this place 200 items on their menu with Lots of vegan items. I usually order the Thai salad appetizer (I give away whatever is non vegan), and that's an enough for dinner for me. http://www.cheesecakefactory.com/menu/welcome/Welcome It's the top floor of Macy's on O Farrel St. YOu get a " Penthouse View " of Union Square. You can also get a vegan pasta. Do research before dining out at " new " places I'm not sure if they take reservations. Even if they don't have, someone get there early and place a reservation. Usual wait time is 1 hour for dinner. They give you a buzzer so you can be warned while you're shopping at Macy's. p.s. Their cheese cake is awlful. However their salad is great. Vegan food is always better. winnie , Karine Brighten <karinebrighten wrote: > > Hello, > > Can someone please recommend a vegan friendly restaurant in SF
Guest guest
I would go to the Vietnamese “Out the Door” which is an outpost of “Slanted Door” restaurant. It is in the basement of Westfield Shopping Center (where Nordstrom’s is). They are mixed and vegan friendly. They have waiter service and I think they have the fancy alcohol drinks. It is right at Powell Street BART Station. John

On the menu: a handmade organic tamal made with heirloom corn, filled with butternut squash and green chiles, covered with a spicy enchilada sauce and cashew cream and served with rice and beans. The other is an Acme torta filled with black beans, rajas (grilled poblano strips), cashew cheese, avocado, pico de gallo, and romaine grilled in garlic oil, served with a small Caesar salad and spicy pickled vegetables. Items subject to change, but this is what's available now—based on the dinner I had a few weeks ago, it seems like it's a substantial lunch. Gracias Madre - 2211 Mission St. San Francisco - 415-285-7550Gracias Madre owners (same as Cafe Gratitude) discontinued participation in our SFVS Discount Program in late 2008 to focus on its own discount card: purchase card valued between $100 & $499 to get 10% more on that card. Card is usable at all Café Gratitude locations as well as Gracias Madre. , Karine Brighten <karinebrighten wrote:>> Hello,>> Can someone please recommend a vegan friendly restaurant in SF close to the Powell BART station?
