Looking to learn permaculture but aren't quite yet ready

or able to jump in to a full certificate course?

 

This introductory series at our Berkeley Campus is for you!

You'll learn the basics of sustainable, thriving human

systems using sustainable design principles rooted in

nature. This wisdom is applicable to every human

system -- from businesses, communities, and cities

to personal relationships! The course is heavily focused

on urban and social permaculture solutions.

 

Course Topics Covered:

 

- Design Methods and Permaculture Principles

- Recognizing Patterns of Natural and Human Systems

- Observation: Reading the Landscape & Understanding

Natural Cycles

- Worms + Composting + Composting Toilets

- Water Harvesting and Graywater System Design

- Maximizing Food Production in Your Garden – Food Forests

- Bioremediation: Healing the Urban Soils with Plants

- Natural Building for a Non-Toxic Home

Schedule: This class runs on Mondays (May 2 - June 21) 7:30-9:30pm.

You can sign up for the series (and save quite a bit) or just pay

on drop-in basis. No late arrivals please, doors close at 7:30.

 

Series – Early registration: $195 (only $24.38 per class!)

Series – Regular price: $295 (entire series – $37.50/class)

Drop-in: $45/class with advance registration or $55 at the door.

 

There is no attendance requirement as this is not a certification

course. Please note that this course is only an introduction to

permaculture and is not meant to replace a certification course;

but can serve as a good pre-requisite for those considering a

full course.
