San Francisco is experiencing a $483 million budget deficit. Reducing the City's expenses with a plant-based diet is a certain way to cut costs dramatically. Several years ago The Chron featured a story on a homeless man here whose Type 2 diabetes had cost the City over $500,000! Multiply that by thousands of Type 2 diabetic sufferers and you are talking real money.
