We are at 30 Grove St., off 8th St. & Market St., All programs take place in the Latino/Hispanic Room, downstairs in the basement. Tuesday, April 10, 6:00 to 7:30pm Chef Laura Stec and scientist Eugene Cordero (from San Jose State), authors of Cool cuisine : taking the bite out of global warming, team up to show you how to eat healthily and sustainably. SFVS is tabling the event, so please come to show your support. Wednesday, April 11, 6:00 to 7:30pm Bottled or Tap water? Hear about the surprising array of chemical contaminants in every bottled water brand analyzed. Renee Sharp, director of the Environmental Working Group, California office, speaks on the subject. Thursday, April 12, 6:00 to 7:30pm Want to live lighter on the earth? Come hear how you can be part of The Sharing Solution, a book written by Emily Doskow and Janelle Orsi. They'll tell you the steps necessary to maintain successful sharing arrangements, everything from sharing a lawn mower to living in an intentional community, such as cohousing.
