We are at 30 Grove St., off 8th St. & Market St., All programs take place in the Latino/Hispanic Room, downstairs in the basement. Tuesday, April 20, 6:00 to 7:30pmChef Laura Stec and scientist Eugene Cordero (from San Jose State), authors of Cool cuisine: taking the bite out of global warming, team up to show you how to eat healthily and sustainably. Lots of tips of how to make delicious food. SFVS is tabling the event, so please come to show your support. Wednesday, April 21, 6:00 to 7:30pmBottled or Tap water? Did you know there are chemical contaminants in bottled water? Come hear Renee Sharp, director of the Environmental Working Group, California office, speak about this. Thursday, April 22, 6:00 to 7:30pmWant to live lighter on the earth? Come hear how you can be part of The Sharing Solution, a book written by Emily Doskow and Janelle Orsi. They'll tell you the steps necessary to maintain successful sharing arrangements, everything from sharing a lawn mower to living in an intentional community, such as cohousing.
