S.F. farmers market animal cruelty protest Sun. 4/25

Animal Advocates,

Please join LGBT Compassion and other animal advocates for a peaceful demonstration against animal cruelty on Sun., April 25 at 9:00 a.m. to appx. 11:00 a.m. at the Heart of the City Farmers Market in San Francisco on Market St. between Hyde and 7th St. next to the Civic Center BART. Please note that we will not be having a demonstration on the following Wed., but will resume again on Sun. 5/2.

More information, including a legal analysis, photos and videos are available at www.LGBTcompassion.org/livemarkets.An update - we recently proved to the police dept. that they and market management have been illegally violating our free speech rights by locking us out of the vendor's customer area, and so we now have better access to leaflet the vendor's customers. We also noticed last time that they had a small truck instead of a regular flatbed for the first time - we may be having an impact on their sales.

PLEASE - we really need more volunteers, so we can have an even stronger impact - especially as the person who has been partnering with me on this campaign has decided to leave. It's very easy, and the public is quite receptive and willingly take the brochures.
