Guest guest Posted April 25, 2010 Report Share Posted April 25, 2010 Dearest Volunteers, It's almost New Living Expo time again -- the event takes place Friday, April 30 - Sunday, May 2, at the Concourse, 8th and Brannan Streets, San Francisco. We need you once again to be at the S.F. Vegetarian Society table to spread the word about the many great and critical benefits of eating a vegetarian diet. The volunteer shifts are as follows: Friday, April 30: 3 pm. - 6:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. - 10: p.m. Saturday, May 1 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 3:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Sunday, May 2 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The catch this year is that the organizers are providing us with only four (4) passes, and we must transfer the passes to each shift of volunteers ourselves -- i.e., there will be no exhibitor booth folks to do the transferring for us, unfortunately. Therefore, please volunteer only if you have a cell phone and don't mind sharing your phone number with the other volunteers. You will need to phone the volunteers who are arriving for the next shift to locate and identify them exactly so that you can transfer your pass to that person. At the beginning and end of Friday and Saturday, Dixie Mahy or Tom Flynn will be the dedicated volunteers handing out or collecting the passes to be given to the volunteers the next day. Does this make sense? Whew! Anyway, please volunteer -- you are needed, as always! And when you do, let me know your cell phone number so that we can arrange to have a smooth transition from one volunteer to another. THANK YOU, as always. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
