Guest guest
This Wednesday the 28th at 6 pm is the very special event at the Red Victorian. We have a great opportunity to meet Joe Connelly, editor of VegNews, the PREMIER vegetarian lifestyle magazine in America. He will be talking about how to get published in VegNews, and about matters of interest to vegetarians everywhere. Also, our vegan chef, Patricia Allen Koot, has given us a brief overview of the dinner menu. Among other items, it includes: leaf lettuce blend salad creamy russian dill radish salad asparagus, enoki and portabello mushroom wild/brown rices gluten-free garlic/kalamata olive/walnut/fresh greens pasta blueberry/blackberry/strawberry dessert sweet/spicy tea fruit juice Point of interest: I was able to enjoy the garlic/kalamata olive/walnut etc. pasta this weekend. It is absolutely FABULOUS! I would never have believed that vegan main dishes could be this good. The dinner is totally vegan, no eggs, dairy or honey, and prepared without oil or added sugars. And (best part) it is ALL YOU CAN EAT! All this--the world-class presentation by Joe Connelly, and the vegan dinner--happens this Wed. evening, the 28th, at 6 pm. A ten dollar minimum donation helps cover costs of food and transport, the chef volunteers her time. Location is the Red Victorian, 1665 Haight St., San Francisco.
