Guest guest
I really wished I was there in Texas!!!!! Are you aware of the bill that was just introduced in texas to make horse slaughter legal there again? if not, I could send you some information, there will be a community meeting prior to the vote, I believe Wilie might be there, too. We are going to go camping tomorrow. What would be good food items to take? The group, I am trying to find a discussion site in re being the only vegan in the family and how to deal with it. Guest guest
Yes, Cheyene. I've heard of the bill you mention and I believe the proposed bill would make consumption of horse meat legal and therefore, slaughter. Texas Humane Legislation Network has sent out action alerts on it (check out www.thln.org). Anyone feel free to correct me if I am incorrect. I'm not much of a camper myself, but I'd take trail mix, canned beans, raw veggie stix, unsalted nuts, whole grain crackers, dried fruit, juice, and a lot of water. And, you know the old camper's adage. " Pack it in. Pack it out. " Any other advice for Cheyene from the group?
