I have tempeh here at home but haven't dared to use it yet lol
Guest guest
Hi Cheyenne. Seiten is used in stews, casseroles, etc. I also stir fry it quickly on high heat. Makes good kabobs. Yum! I've mainly fried tempe, like bacon, but I'm sure it could be prepared various ways. FYI, www.pcrm.org is a good resource for vegan recipes. Guest guest
Hi I love tempeh. It should be cooked due to something I do not remeber now, but I will try to look it up later. I cut it up in 1/2 lenghtwise and then into strips for stir fry or you can cut it in to 4 squares and use is in snadwiches. Heat up a pan and then pour some oil and fry it on both sides about 2 minutes and then glaze it with some soy sause and water is the easiest. You can add a bit mirin. Cook it for about 5 minutes I think and then toss with veggies or eat. I am sure there are more options but this works the best for me. I think there is some recipe that after cooking it you can crumble it and cool and mix with vegan mayo and some chicken like salad stuff and make great chicken-less sandwich filing. As for the Seitan. Cut it in strips and use as you would use meat in any recipe. Stroganoff, stir fries, curries and such. Hope this help Barbara www.veggiechild.com , " cheyenne " <chaag62 wrote: > > As I am fairly new to this and never have used seitan or tempeh, can > you please tell me how to cook those?
