Guest guest
Welcome to all new members of Vegetarian Society of Dallas. Vegetarians see the destructiveness of the Standard American Diet and instead, embrace health and compassion. We hope to provide you with support and resources to enrich your lives and better enable you to live among the meat-eaters. To that end, here are a couple of resources you may find useful in your journey. On-Line: Vegetarian Resource Group: http://www.vrg.org/index.htm A Highly Recommended Book: Scully, Matthew. Dominion: The Power of Man, the Suffering of Animals, and the Call to Mercy. St. Martin's Griffin. Also, take a look at our website: www.vegnod.com. We are in the early stages of developing it. At present, you will find the Vegetarian Network of Dallas philosophy (stronger together) and a calendar of upcoming events. Julia McCloud and I are the group's founders. We hope you join us at our 3rd Sunday of the month lunch at Veggie Garden and our outreach opportunities, which we will be telling you about from time to time. Please feel free to cross post this email to your friends and family. Margaret " Think occasionally of the suffering of which you spare yourself the sight. Guest guest
Margaret, I just got my 100 % hempshoes from www.rawganique.com they're really cool!!! Please, list this website as a very useful respurce for vegans. Also, Zappo's has vegetarian shoes and so does vegansource.com I am really not impressed by BK or by Chipotle, even though Chipotle does offer a vegan option (burrito with black beans, guacamole, rice (if you want it, I don't like their rice),tomatoes, cilantro, onions. I wished that at least one of them would just omit animal products altogether! Hugs, CheyMargaret Morin <margaret.morin wrote: It's Vegetarian Network of Dallas. Playing old tapes, I guess.
