Guest guest
In keeping with the vegetarian outreach component of our mission, Vegetarian Network of Dallas seeks to recruit a volunteer college coordinator for Dallas and Collin Counties. All you do is go to the college campus of your choice and pass out leaflets one or more times a month. You make your own schedule. If you have never leafleted before, we'll train you. I promise that it will be among the most satisfying experiences of your life. It's a fun and easy way to pleasantly pass an hour or two, and a great way to spread our positive message to young people, who are truly interested. Here's the scoop. VNOD Volunteer College Coordinator responsibilities: -- Distribute Vegan Outreach literature and include VNOD 1/2 page flier as an insert to Vegan Outreach material --Ask people if they will sign-up for Vegetarian Network of Dallas -- Keep track of where/when you leaflet; approximately how many fliers distributes; how long it took (so we can learn from each other) -- If you find a student, who would like to start a vegetarian organization on campus, get her/his contact info so that you and I are able to get in contact with that person and support his/her effort --Draw other people in who want to volunteer to leaflet with you (even if someone just asks to do so while you are leafletting, to the extent with which you are comfortable) VNOD's responsibilities to the Volunteer College Coordinator: --Promote the VNOD college program to the DFW community --Solicit vegetarian activists to help you leaflet --Supply you with leafleting materials and sign-up sheets --Help you mentor new vegetarians and answer questions from those who may be interested in the vegetarian lifestyle --Support and help start fledgling college vegetarian organizations ADDITIONAL NOTE: We already have one great coordinator in Tarrant and Denton county, who could also use volunteers to leaflet with her about once a month. If you may be interested in this wonderful vegetarian outreach opportunity, please contact Julia and/or me at: Margaret.Morin monkey60613 We hope to hear from you soon.
