Guest guest
In the Dallas Morning News editorial column " Hits and Misses " today, the paper lauded Burger King for beginning to adopt purchasing practices supporting humane farming. Also, mentioned for the same was Chipotle. DMN encouraged people to remember BK and Chipotle when making dinner plans. While I don't give a flip about BK's or Chipotle's miniscule efforts, I am pleased with the DMN for recognizing in writing that animals suffer horribly in factory farming and that this is wrong. Such a mention in the media is an important influencer of the marketplace. This is a perfect opportunity to commend the DMN for their insightful editorial and to get the animal advocacy message into print again. Our LTE are best received when they are polite; under 200 words; and include your name, address, and day time telephone #. Also, it's best not to mention that we have an animal advocacy writing campaign, as an impromptu and heartfelt communication carries the most import. DMN LTE: letterstoeditor Thanks to all who email and speak for animals. Margaret P.S. If you to more than one of the e-lists to which I posted this, forgive me for your getting the same email from different sources. I felt this is important enough that people will understand.
