News of new radio show " talking the dog " from my friend, Holly Elms, of the

Irving Animal Shelter Advisory Board. Margaret

From Companions for Life:

****************

There is a new radio show in town on the new channel SportsFan 990 AM. Alan

Brown (www.k-9direction.com), a local dog trainer, has a show called " Talking

the Dog " every Saturday from 3:30 p.m- 5:00 p.m. He will be talking about

everything

from training, to dog shows, confirmation and agility and adoption/spay/neuter

etc... and taking questions by phone and email. He has selected 3 rescue groups

who will rotate each week to participate in the show: STARS, Legacy Boxer Rescue

and Paws

In The City.

These groups will get a full segment to talk about ANYTHING regarding rescue,

spay/neuter, adoption and a pet of the week etc...

As you can imagine, this can really help to educate the public on the importance

of spay/neuter and help educate the public on how to retain the dogs in the

home. Alan is awesome and really cares about dogs and wants to help the rescue

community

by giving them a voice to the public.

It is great he is including rescue in his show. So tune in and tell others about

it so it can stay on the air. If you have the time, let the stations know how

much you like the show.
