Hi everyone, Shortly after the pet food recall started, I contacted Tetra (manufacturers of Reptomin Floating Turtle Sticks) and other manufacturers of turtle foods, to find out if Chinese imported wheat gluten was used in any of their products. As I receive confirmation regarding other products, I will post them here for all of you. Annie Annie Lancaster Director TortoiseAid Int'l Inc. I've also tried calling repeatedly, but phone lines have been busy. Mazuri is a division of Purina, and they have been bombarded with dog and cat owner questions. I was finally able to get through to a customer service representative today, and suggested they place a statement on their web site that can be copied and pasted (to groups like this one) Mazuri stated to me (verbally) that NO ingredient in any Mazuri product is sourced from China. Currently, there is a small notice at the home page of http://mazuri. com. Hopefully they will add a more detailed statement soon. BTW, please feel free to forward safety statements I have posted on to other groups if you think it would be helpful to other reptile keepers. I suspected weeks ago that there may be issues with some herp foods, but it seems so far (with the companies I've contacted) the companies I've listed have "dodged the bullet." (Thank goodness!)
