Reminder: Watch our Vegetarian Network of Dallas' (VegNod) calendar for both fun and community-minded events.

About VegNod's May 19th Pot Luck ...

If you were at our VegNod potluck last night, you were one of the 35 people, who made the fortunate choice to attend a fabulously fun social and culinary event. There was so many excellent vegan dishes that guests were urged to take "to go" containers home. No one needed to be asked twice.

Jeanette Prasifka, Crosby Catering owner and chef, opened her gorgeous home to our guests (thanks, Jeanette) and everyone was made to feel welcome, especially by Emily, her dog, who was such a good girl and the hit of the party. If you weren't seated next to Emily, you were simply not among the inner circle, don't you know.

In keeping with our Mexican Fiesta theme, we each adopted an Hispanic name (real or imagined) of our own choice and had a great time. Ricky made the best Sangria I have ever had and there were also many other beverages to enjoy.

Our free VegNod raffle prizes included "The Best in the World" PCRM cookbook of vegan recipes from some of the most famous restaurants in the world and also a bottle of cruelty-free, fragrant foot balm. Every guest, who was not vegetarian, received the gift of a PCRM Vegetarian Starter Kit, which included several easy, but tasty recipes and excellent advice about the role of nutrition in staying young, healthy, and slim.

Mark your calendars now for our next VegNod pot luck on Saturday, June 23 at the home of Ricky Burke. Watch theVegNod and calendar for details.
