H.R. 924-The Domestic Pet Turtle Market

Access Act of 2007

 

This bill will update the 1975 law (which currently

prohibits the sale of baby sliders) and will allow the

sale of baby red eared sliders (Trachemys scripta

elegans) throughout the United States.

 

There are numerous environmental, health, and

conservation issues not addressed by this legislation.

 

Please act today, this bill is due to be heard most

probably after the holiday weekend.
