It’s like when I get in the checkout line and it stops. Primarily Politics on magazine page 52 (download page 27) is about the PPI controversy. Whatever we thought we knew about that, we didn’t know all of it. The greatest surprise for me is that Lee Hall, an abolitionist lawyer with whom I almost always agree, is Legal Director for Friends of Animals (FoA), the group led by Priscilla Feral (could that possibly be her real name?), who backed PPI leadership throughout this ordeal. FoA waged a pitched battle against PeTA and the court-appointed caretaker team at PPI, eventually prevailing when Texas AG Greg Abbott seemingly misplaced his testicles and abruptly capitulated to FoA and PPI’s legal team.
