Woman killed during roping eventBLACK FOREST – A 40-year-old woman died Saturday morning during a private roping event at the Bar 5-L Ranch. Deputies told KOAA paramedics were not able to resuscitate her. "We were called because of an injury," said Sgt. John Matsko with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. "One of the riders was entangled in her horse and went down. We were told that the injuries did prove fatal." The ranch's owners would not comment. The woman's name was not immediately released.
