Aug 8, 2007 9:00 AM Dear Ms. Morin, Thirty seconds of good TV can pack a

powerful message! The Cancer Project recently released a new television public service announcement that is being enthusiastically received by television stations all over the country. Called “Protective Gear,” this new spot points out that, although we take many precautions to protect children from harm, the protection kids need most is healthy food. A vegetarian diet rich in beans, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables can help kids stay free of cancer, heart disease, and obesity. “Protective Gear” is an entertaining and powerful television spot that allows us to reach hundreds of thousands of people with our message about the importance of a healthy diet. Hundreds of people contact us every week after viewing the PSA to request additional information about nutrition for kids, and we are able to follow up with facts, recipes, and

more information to keep children healthy. View “Protective Gear” here. Thank you for your continued support, Neal Barnard, M.D.President P.S. Our wide range of high-quality PSAs continue to be played on TV and radio and printed in national publications.
