Leaflet and speak for Luna and Tonka at the Ringling Bros. Circus, Fort Worth Convention Center, 1201 Houston Street on Saturday, August 18, 6:00 – 7:30 PM and Sunday, August 19, 1:00 - 2:30 PM Organized by Margaret Morin & the members of Vegetarian Network of Dallas Join Our Group & Speak for Animals, : / Website: www.vegnod.comStronger Together! Send to a Friend | Donate Now | Join Our Activist Network Dear Margaret, PETA is asking the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to remove—immediately and permanently—two reportedly dangerous and unpredictable elephants traveling with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Luna and Tonka are often trucked from trains to arenas instead of being permitted to walk with the other elephants reportedly because of their bad behavior. Imagine that after working a full week in extreme weather conditions at a job you don't want, your boss constantly screams at you to move faster. Your boss forces you to do physical tasks that are challenging and sometimes painful, and at the end of the long

work week, you are forced into a dirty, dark transport car to go to the next job site. After three days in the stinky, hot, and poorly ventilated car, you arrive in the next town, covered in your own waste and feeling cramped and sore. Instead of being allowed to stretch your legs, breathe in fresh air, and feel the sun on your back as you walk to the job site with the rest of the crew, you are singled out and forced into another hot trailer. When and what you eat, when and where you walk, and the conversations you have with your coworkers are all dictated by your boss. Every week is as miserable as the last, and you have nothing to look forward to. You are depressed, restless, and angry—and there's no way out. Luna and Tonka endure this misery week after week. If Luna and Tonka are so dangerous that they cannot be allowed to walk with other elephants, then they should not be on the road at all. Elephants, tigers, and other animals in circuses are forced to perform silly tricks under the threat of punishment and spend their entire lives confined to cages or chained. Animal abuse in circuses is common. Click here to read accounts from former Ringling employees. Take action now to get Luna and Tonka off the road. Please urge your friends and family members to contact the USDA as well.

Send any responses you receive from the USDA to PETA's circus specialist. Thank you for everything you do for animals!
