Guest guest
For those of us who have mixed feelings about Michael Vick's highly publicized fall from grace because he is a no-good, dog abusing criminal, this essay by a Texas teacher will likely ring true. Don't get me wrong. I am very glad Vick is getting what he deserves, but the outrage of the general public rings false. Such clucking of tongues and shaking of heads among the rank and file over Vick's dog fighting. These same people are thoughtlessly complicit in the significantly larger scale abuse of nonhuman animals in factory farms. They purchase and dine on the flesh of sentients, all the while pretending that it is something euphemistically called "meat." These people do not want to know or hear about the lifetime of misery and confinement that these poor non-humans endure before they are forced into the terminal terror of the slaughter house. Anyway, enjoy Mr. Crisp's essay. http://www.scrippsn ews.com/node/ 26099Margaret Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Play Monopoly Here and Now (it's updated for today's economy) at Games.
