Guest guest
I had to share this article about road kill with the comments of Pam who made me avare of this: " This makes my blood boil. This article says that roadkill isn't just accidental -- an Ontario study has found almost three per cent of drivers, the majority of them men, swerve to intentionally steamroll snakes and turtles on the road, particularly snakes. It happened to me once. Just as I got to a box turtle on the road (I was literally 6 feet from it), someone deliberately swerved and smashed it with their car. It broke my heart. That was close to 40 years ago in New Hampshire and I still remember it. My father was in the car with me and I cried all the way to Massachusetts. Now, there are very few (if any) box turtles in New Hampshire.
