Shortly after the official search ended at 6 p.m., the bull was spotted near a deer feeder behind a home not far from the animal hospital. me, but when you get them caught and confined they get a little mean," Graham said. The bull is actually from Greensboro but was being treated at the Apex Animal hospital. Apex police said the animal bolted into the dense woods behind east Williams street around 3 p.m. while veterinarians were trying to vaccinate it. Although police caught a glimpse of the animal, they didn't have the manpower to chase it down to they called off the search after losing sight. Safety was a concern for police so they had planned to patrol the roadways in case the bull was not caught.
