Vegetarian Network of Dallas will schedule our WFAD event for Oct 13. Details will be announced soon. I hope everyone puts this on her/his calendar now and plans to join us to bring attention to the plight of farmed animals, the most abused of all creatures. Margaret Send to a Friend | Donate Now | Join Our Activist Network Dear Margaret, In honor of vegetarian and humanitarian Mahatma Gandhi's birthday on October 2, countless activists around the world will join together for World Farmed Animals Day (WFAD) to help expose and end the abuses of the more than 50 billion animals who suffer and die in the world's factory farms and slaughterhouses every year. Please take just an hour on that day—or any time in October—to join them! One of the easiest and most effective ways to help farmed animals is to conduct outreach or organize a demonstration at your local KFC. This can be as simple as handing out leaflets to lunchgoers or as complex as having 10 people dress as skeletons and hold signs reading, "We'd Rather Be Dead Than Eat Kentucky Fried Cruelty." Just fill out this simple form, and I'll help you get materials for demonstrations and leafleting and give you information about how to contact the local media. I can also provide you with tips to help you get in touch with activists in your area and information about how to list your event on the official WFAD Web site. If you have any questions, you can contact me at 269-945-3854 or via e-mail at NicoleM. For more information about our KFC campaign, visit KentuckyFriedCruelty.com. Be the change!
