Vegetarian Network of Dallas Moderator's Note: Please email Comcast Spotlight Corporate Office and politely ask that the Alicia Silverstone PSA be broadcast. Contact Comcast Spotlight at:http://www.comcastspotlight.com/sites/Default.aspx?pageid=2499*******************************************************Big news in the veggie world this week is PETA's new PSA, featuring Alicia Silverstone. It has been covered by dozens of leading papers and countless media outlets -- perhaps because Alicia is nude. Some of the funniest coverage was on Jimmy Kimmel's late night talk show on ABC. He showed the PSA, which has Alicia emerging from a swimming pool murmuring about the joys of being vegetarian, and then showed his version of the meat

council's comeback -- a three hundred pound guy emerging from a swimming pool, with similar mood lighting and music, talking about how he loves to eat meat. The Los Angeles Times website has the Alicia version, and also a poster from the campaign, and an article noting that it was banned from Texas TV by Comcast cable, at http://tinyurl.com/2yt4l5That page takes comments. Please add a quick note to demonstrate a high level of interest in the veggie campaign. And if you are pleased to see the campaign covered in your local media, do let your media know. The more positive feedback the media gets for covering animal friendly stories (even if Alicia's body is the original basis for the coverage) the better. Don't hesitate to ask me for help if you have trouble finding email contact information for your local media. You can also see the ad

(but not the poster, at least on not on the same page) at http://www.peta.org/feat/alicia_psa/index.asp. That page includes testimonial from Alicia about her love of animals and also the health benefits of her vegan diet.
