Guest guest
I finally got a chance to hear the whole program and all I can says is I WANNA MOVE TO TEXAS!! That hour was such a breath of fresh air. My goodness there were Vegans & vegan societies from all over Texas...just sounding so upbeat and wonderful. I mean listening brought tears o my eyes....but tears of joy. There's no denying it...THINGS REALLY ARE CHANGING. At one point, Sukie [from the ElPaso Vegetarian society said she knew the day would come when killing & eating animals would be looked on as the barbaric thing we know it really is but then she added " it won't happen in my lifetime " which is how I've always thought too but Shirley jumped in and said " oh ye of little faith " and went on to say that it could happen in our lifetime.... & she's right. I can remember a time when everybody smoked everywhere. And I think what Shirley was trying to say was this...you don't need to get 100% of the people to agree with you....50% will do just fine because lets face it.....most people will follow what ever's popular ...and my goodness there are no bad reasons for going vegan and I don't think meat is really addictive like cigarettes. I also learned that our Margaret is entering the big Vegan Chili Cook-Off in Austin in about two weeks and get this....she hasn't even come up with a proper name for her chili yet......I really think this calls for a contest to help Margaret name her enrty.....don't you? Like Magaret's Mysterious, Magical, Magnificent,Masterpiece OMG.....that's so lame...I'm quite sure you all can do a lot better..... And PS.....Margaret do you REALLY work 80 hours a week? How can that be possible? Well in any case I sure was glad I listened to that show and I'll be tuning in every Monday from now on. Cheers to everyone!
