Well, after 7 years of stalling because Ringling knows it will lose the lawsuit against them for 53 endangered elephants being abused, the court has now narrowed the scope even more in thier favor. Of course. Can you say bribery? U.S. District Court Further Limits Scope of Animal Rights Lawsuit VIENNA, Va., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today the US District Court in Washington, DC further limited the scope of a meritless lawsuit filed seven years ago against Feld Entertainment, parent company of Ringling Bros. and Barnum &

Bailey® Circus, by granting Feld Entertainment's motion for reconsideration on standing issues. Today's ruling limits the lawsuit to only six elephants. The Court also rejected plaintiffs' attempts to expand their lawsuit again by seeking to add three new individual plaintiffs, finding that Feld Entertainment "has already been granted partial summary judgment and the issues in this case have been narrowed." The Court further held that Feld Entertainment would be unduly prejudiced by plaintiffs' efforts this late in the lawsuit to "significantly expand the scope of this case and require substantial additional discovery." Today's ruling is the second time in two months that the court has limited the scope of this case, reducing the number of elephants in the case from 53 to six. "We are pleased that the Court has again reduced the number of elephants covered by the plaintiffs' claims and agreed that the addition of more plaintiffs is unjustified,"

stated Feld Entertainment Vice President and General Counsel Julie Alexa Strauss. "We are immensely proud of our animals and our animal care staff and know that all of the plaintiffs' allegations in this lawsuit are without merit." Feld Entertainment is the world's leading producer of live family entertainment and the parent company of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, Disney On Ice, Disney Live! and Doodlebops Live! The company's spectaculars have toured in 178 US cities, 50 countries and on six continents, and are seen by millions of people each year.
