They are tortured into performing. Animals do not naturally ride bicycles, stand on their heads, balance on balls, or jump through rings of fire. To force them to perform these confusing and physically uncomfortable tricks, trainers use whips, tight collars, muzzles, electric prods, bullhooks, and other painful tools of the trade. Educate the public about intelligent, social animals who are

IMPORTANT: People are under the impression that the money from the circus goes toward the Shriner's Children's Hospital - NOT TRUE! It goes to their frat house to stock their liquor cabinet. It says in very small print on the ticket it cannot be written off on taxes as charity! Please join us at the Shrine Circus demos (information attached below) - they may sound benign, but every one of the "circus animal companies" they have leased from have had serious USDA violations. In addition, none of the money raised goes to charity, although the public is lead to believe that. ALL circus animals, especially elephants, endure unimaginable suffering and abuse in the circus.
