Guest guest
Today at 9 AM Central on NPR Radio (90.1 FM in Dallas), The Diane Rehm Show topic is "The Politics of American Agriculture." Ms. Rehm features at least twenty minutes of call-in from listeners. This is a perfect opportunity for us to call and comment on the massive subsidies for meat and dairy vs. the non-existent subsidies for vegetables, fruits and grains in the FARM bill's funding of aid to the poor and public school breakfast/lunch programs. Federal subsidies make it cheap for Americans to eat meat and expensive to eat healthy. This is one of the major reasons there is an obesity crisis in America and the US government is funding it. Even Katie Couric commented on this fact and the FARM bill a couple of days ago on her program. Call in number is 800 433 8850.Thank you.Margaret Tired of spam?
