Vegetarian Network of Dallas' Educational Demonstration & Leafleting of the Shrine CircusWHAT: Peaceful Educational Outreach at the Shrine Circus WHEN: We are targeting four shows: Saturday, November 10, 5:30 PM (doors open 6 PM, circus starts 7PM) Sunday, November 11, 12:30 PM (doors open 1 PM, circus starts 2PM) Friday, November 16, 6 PM, (doors open 6 PM, circus starts 7PM) Saturday, November 17, 5:30 PM (doors open 6 PM, circus starts 7PM)WHO: All compassionate people in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth Area. WHY: Animals in the circus are not trained. They are tortured into performing. Animals do not naturally ride bicycles, stand on their heads, balance on balls, or jump through rings of fire. To force them to perform these confusing and physically uncomfortable tricks, trainers use whips, tight collars, muzzles, electric prods, bullhooks, and other painful tools of the trade. Educate the public about intelligent, social animals who are deprived of ALL their natural behaviors and forced to perform silly tricks for humans. Speak up for the animals who have no voice!
