Guest guest
Margaret, I met you at Ingrid Newkirk's book signing at Borders a few wks ago. Thank you for including me in your loop and I would LOVE to protest the circus as I'm an old anti-war protestor from the '70's however, I've got prior committments for November 10, 11, 16 & 17. But I will be at the next protest on behalf of the animals whenever and wherever. Just keep me in the loop and thanks for speaking out for the animals. We are their only voice. Peace, Love, Beads!Margaret Morin <dogs_good wrote: If you can possibly participate in our peaceful circus educational leafleting today, please make ever effort to be there. We are fortunate to have a reporter (and maybe a photographer) covering us today and we want her to see how many of us care enough to come out and speak for the animals. Thank you. WHY: Animals in the circus are not trained. They are tortured into performing. Animals do not naturally ride bicycles, stand on their heads, balance on balls, or jump through rings of fire. To force them to perform these confusing and physically uncomfortable tricks, trainers use whips, tight collars, muzzles, electric prods, bullhooks, and other painful tools of the trade. Educate the public about intelligent, social animals who are deprived of ALL their natural behaviors and forced to perform silly tricks for humans. Speak up for the animals who have no voice!
