Cross Posted from the CVA digest. Related to a local (to this lady) PBS program on pigs. MM Pigs Blog - Joyful Curmudgeon - Blog Pigs – 28 November 2007 Yesterday’s TV program, meant to be informational about pigs and promoting their processing into food products, left me with absolutely no doubt about the sociopathy of humanity as a whole. This program’s purpose, by their own totally unapologetic, proud admission, is to show how pigs are turned into ham and other “food products” in processing plants. Do you sense the disconnect here? Do you understand why I am serious when I

say that this human behavior is sociopathic – lacking in empathy? A farmer proudly shows off his sows and explains how intelligent and extremely protective these mothers are of their piglets, while making no apology whatsoever for the cruelty inherent in his business. Then there are the scenes inside factory buildings where pigs, crowded together, are chewing on the iron bars enclosing them, driven insane by the filthy, dark, depressing, artificial surroundings imposed on them – far from the nature they were meant to enjoy. Do you see how humans corrupt everything they can get their grubby hands on, and then have the colossal nerve to scapegoat the ones that they enslave? The only answer to this dismal state of affairs in this fallen world is to stop eating

animal products – period. No “ifs, ands, or buts” about it. Going vegan is the only thing that can end this out-of-control insanity. Half-way measures – promises of “humane” animal products or any other nonsense – are simply trickery and deception meant to quiet the conscience of suckers who choose to keep the cruelty in business.
