Guest guest
Please email and call Petland Corporate Offices today and civilly urge them to cease selling life. Tell them you will not shop at Petland DFW stores until they do. This is the Xmas shopping season and we need to intervene now. Send your comments to:Frank Difatta, President250 Riverside Street Chillicothe, Ohio 45601 (740) 775-2464 (800) 221-5935operationsAlso, call Gavin/the program director of 105.3 at 214-525-7200 and politely ask him to stop broadcasting Petland advertising the sale of animals and that it offends you. Leave a voice message if you have to and call back to speak to him personally. Many ill informed people will be shopping for Christmas presents in the next two weeks. Let's try to stop them from buying a puppy, kitten, rabbit, hamster, or bird from Petland. Such animals are the product of wholesale mass breeding operations where there is no regard for the animal. The baby animals do not receive proper care from stores that sell them and they are frequently sick and ill cared when purchased. We must discourage such abuse from continuing. Life should not be for sale. Thank you. I have called the studio to complain to the program director, Gavin Spittle, but the ads are still running. Maybe if others in the rescue community start flooding their office with calls we can get these ads pulled. To tell you the truth I was really shocked to hear this advertisement on their station because their 3-7 host and #1 rated talk show in the state, Russ Martin, is on the Board of Directors for Operation Kindness and is a HUGE animal lover and defender of animals. Russ and his staff volunteer as Santa for the shelter's pictures each Christmas and participate in other events they host. He has contributed to rewards in animal abuse cases and speaks out strongly about people that hurt animals. I have emailed his office to let him know this is going on but haven't heard anything back. If you get a chance, please call to let them know that this is unacceptable and defeats the purpose of promoting animal adoption from shelters, which they do, and only adds to the number of animals that your groups will take in the next few years. Simply shameful. Their office number is 214-525-7200 and ask to leave a message for Gavin/Program Director 105.3. Apryl Whitten Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.
