Whoo hooo! L.L. Bean next???????? PLEASE CROSS POST Forwarded Message: [Abbreviated] Subj: [giddy-up] Fwd: Land's End No Longer Selling Fur! 12/27/2007 6:48:45 P.M. Eastern Standard

Time batya Reply-to: giddy-up-for-animals (AT) googl (DOT) com batya Sent from the Internet (Details) Dear Friends,I am happy to forward this news on to you. No doubt, the huge outpouring of protest against Lands End selling fur had its effect. I am looking forward to being reinstated as a customer again:I really like their product.A number of years ago, I wrote to L.L. Bean and asked them to remove my name from their catalog list as I would no longer be buying anything from them because of their catering to the hunting population. I turned to Lands End for clothing of equal quality to L.L.Bean and have enjoyed my purchases. Of course, when I heard they were selling fur, I immediately asked them to take me off their mailing list... that I would not be buying anything from them until they ceased selling fur. It seems that time has come, and I am happy to buy from them again.I hope you will show your appreciation to Lands End by writing to them and expressing your

appreciation:The address is:Kathy NondorfCustomer Communicationskathy.nondorfBest wishes to all for the New Year.Batya "Sarah Perelstein" sperelstein December 27, 2007 6:11:33 PM EST batya Land's End No Longer Selling Fur! Hi Batya, Your email was forwarded to me as part of the Fur Campaign at the Humane Society of the United States. I just wanted to let you know that we have followed up with Land's End at your suggestion. Our contact there confirmed that they removed all 3 fur items that were being sold this season, and that Land's End will be a fur-free company going forward (will only use faux

fur)! This is great news! I hope you will share it with everyone involved in boycotting Land's End until they've stopped their sale of fur. We'll soon be updating our list of fur-free retailers to include Land's End (http://www.humanesociety.org/furfreeshopping). Thanks for sharing this information with us, and we welcome your input about other retailers in the future. Warm regards, Sarah Sarah Perelstein Retail Outreach Coordinator, Fur-Free Campaign The Humane Society of the United States 2100 L Street, NW Washington, DC 20037 301.721.6434 phone 301.721.6414 fax humanesociety.org/furfree See AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter.--~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~
