Now THAT'S taking the bull by the horns - no bull!!!!! Posted: 08 January 2008 The Spanish parliament is refusing to subsidise the broadcasting of bullfighting on state television and radio. This is a major blow for the industry which has expressed ‘deep concern’ for the future of its ‘sport’. Bullfighting has been hit by declining audiences and growing opposition

within Spain, especially from younger people. Florian Leppla, bullfighting campaigner for the League commented: ‘ This is another blow for the vile industry and brings its end even closer. Parliament has responded to the will of the Spanish people and should be congratulated for standing up to the big business moguls who control bullfighting.’ 2006 League Against Cruel Sports Ltd Disclaimer| Privacy policy
