Guest guest
Texas News Alert -- Join the Demonstrations Against the PRCA Rodeo A Bunch of Male Apes Proving They Can Dominate Male Bovines & Horses? How Degrading for Apes, Bulls & Horses. Where: At the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum, 3401 Lancaster , Ave. Fort Worth ; east side of front of Coliseum by the parking lot When: Friday, Jan 18th-6:30 pm, Saturday, Jan 19th, 1pm & 6:30 pm Flyers and posters will be provided When ticket holders arrive to the opening weekend of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Rodeo on the dates above, they'll be met by activists and supporters from Friends of Animals protesting a violent spectacle, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. We'll be near the Coliseum entrance to hold posters and to hand out Rodeo, Bull Riding, and Other Macho Stories of Domination and Control flyers to rodeo customers. These flyers discuss ways in which rodeo " cowboys " bully a lot of trapped animals for the delight of crowds. In the 21st century, why are Texas babies growing up to be cowboys? We need a change in male role models! As is quite obvious in these shows, and as the PRCA's website itself says, the " cowboys " wear thick, metal spurs and use bucking straps to provoke the action needed to present this image of domination and control. The PRCA's website lists electric prods as allowable rodeo equipment. These things would be called instruments of sadistic torture if cowboys themselves were roped up and tormented with them. Come lend the animals your voice! Protest and educate; create a society that demands a more respectful humanity! Guest guest
all of the broadcast TV stations promote this "event" on the evening ( & maybe morning) newscasts, as a news item, NOT pd. advertising. is there any way we could educate the producers, or do they just not care?
